Pazo is the Galician word for “palace.” We had the privilege to visit “Pazo de Faramello” and its beautiful gardens. Architecture and nature were the protagonists of that morning.
The discovery of the remains of Saint James, the apostle, in the 9th century turned this remote point in norther Spain in one of the main destinations for many pilgrims in the Christian world. Its Romanesque cathedral hides behind a monumental Baroque facade that looks at the immense Obradoiro Square. Here are some pictures of our walking tour:
