The Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) program at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering bridges the gap between technology and business by equipping students with the technical expertise and leadership skills they need to advance their career in the fast-paced world of technology.

All students in the Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) Program enroll in The Practice of Consulting, a course during intersession of the first year. In the fall of  first their year, students will choose an immersion project – some are abroad, others near JHU – and then over intersession, in a team of 3 – 4 people, they will work intensively with their clients, listening to their problems and researching potential solutions.

MSEM will now be visiting Madrid, Spain for the 2020 January Immersion ‘The Practice of Consulting’ project. MSEM students who travel to Madrid will be working on projects related to technical entrepreneurship and innovation. Tentatively, the schedule for the Spain immersion trip will include: Walking tours, working on the UC3M Science Park Campus, trips to Córdoba, Granada, and Toledo, a cooking class, and a presentation of their projects.
